Our goal is to support kids (and their grown ups) in their educational journey and to inspire a life-long love of learning. Our products and resources are designed by teachers to help make learning new things a joyful experience for everyone involved.
About Dana
Dana McMurray holds a Bachelor of Arts (2012), a Bachelor of Education (2013), Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (2018) and is trained in French Reading Recovery (IPLE). She has taught internationally in Thailand and Australia, as well as in her home province of Manitoba, Canada.
Dana is currently based in Winnipeg, where she lives with her daughter and their dog Ginny.
When she’s not teaching or running Juniper, you can find Dana enjoying walks in the dog park or at the lake -and probably documenting it all with photography, her favourite creative outlet.
Our Story
Juniper was created after Dana McMurray, a teacher and kid at heart, had a child of her own in 2020. She used her time away from the classroom to reflect on what she loved the most about being a teacher and what she saw was missing from the market as a parent.
Even as an industry insider, Dana knew firsthand how challenging it was to find high quality, well crafted learning resources for at home and in the classroom. And now as a mom, she was experiencing just how little precious time caregivers have to search for the right tools to help their kids learn.
Dana envisioned an online space for all things early years, where families could find everything they need to support their kids.
